PLASMA PEN SKIN TIGHTENING

Home / PLASMA PEN SKIN TIGHTENING

Plasma Pen by Louise Walsh International is the only FDA-approved plasma pen in the market. This device is used for non-invasive soft-surgery, fibroblasting sublimation treatment, non-surgical blepharoplasty, dynamic skin-lifting, skin-tightening and skin rejuvenation.

WHAT IS PLASMA TREATMENT?

Plasma is made up of positively charged and ionised molecules which are able to roam freely and fast. Plasma gas is able to do things that ordinary gases simply cannot do.

The nitrogen plasma energy we create through Plasma Pen transfers rapidly to the skin’s epidermal layer whilst, simultaneously, heating and disrupting the deeper dermal structure via thermal conduction. In doing so, we intentionally create a dual zone of micro-trauma which comprises a superficial zone of outer thermal micro-damage to the epidermis and then, simultaneously, a deeper zone of inner thermal modification within the dermis – especially to the fibroblasts. That’s why we often call the treatment “fibroblasting”.

AFTER CARE

  • Wait until your scabs have fallen off. You may resume activities immediately after any Plasma Pen treatment but may not look your complete best during the healing process (usually 3 to 7 days)

  • The formation of brown/black crusts on the skin surface will occur. Do not pick pick them – these crusts will fall off in a few days.

  • Sleep on your back to avoid brushing your face on your pillow

  • Keep your scabs/crusts moist by applying aloe vera up to three times per day.

  • Keep the area clean using lukewarm boiled water and do not use alcohol-based cleansers.

  • Occasional weeping will settle.

  • There may be some mild swelling – especially around the eyes and periorbital region. Swelling for 1 to 5 days post-treatment is normal.

  • The area treated must not be covered with plasters, occlusive dressing or any type of make-up, mascara, creams or any other product until the area has fully healed.

  • Use aloe vera masks on the treated areas to prevent inflammation.

  • Taking Vitamin C supplements, anti-inflammatory and anti-histamine medication can also help.
